Samsung’s new-product launch schedule early next year may be entirely different from previous years.

In the past, Samsung usually launched its flagship Galaxy S series in January or February, followed by the mid-range A series in March or April. But this time, the entire plan has been disrupted—due to internal model adjustments within the flagship Galaxy S26 lineup.

Five key points:
· Due to a last-minute decision to reintroduce the S26 Plus model, the flagship Galaxy S26 series is rumored to be postponed to late February 2026.
· To maintain market momentum, Samsung is accelerating its mid-range releases, with the Galaxy A37 and A57 expected to launch ahead of schedule in February 2026.
· The ultra-budget Galaxy A07 5G may also debut early, as soon as late December 2025 or early January 2026.
· The A37 and A57 will come pre-installed with the latest Android 16 system.
· The Galaxy A57 will feature the new Exynos 1680 processor (with Xclipse 550 GPU), while the A37 will use the Exynos 1480 chip (with Xclipse 530 GPU).

Temporary adjustments to the flagship product lineup

It is reported that Samsung originally planned to replace the S26 Plus with the S26 Edge, but due to the poor market performance of the S25 Edge, the company decided to cancel the S26 Edge entirely and bring the S26 Plus back into the lineup. This last-minute strategic shift has extended the development and testing cycle, delaying the entire Galaxy S26 series to late February—later than Samsung’s usual early-year release window.

Using mid-range models to fill the market gap

Despite the S26 delay, Samsung is not leaving a gap in the market, instead keeping product momentum by releasing budget and mid-range models earlier.According to the latest reports, the affordable Galaxy A07 5G may launch as early as the end of this month or early January 2026, earlier than the typical A0-series schedule.More notably, Samsung also plans to move up the Galaxy A37 and A57—originally scheduled for March or April—to February 2026.This move clearly aims to sustain market interest and product momentum ahead of the delayed flagship S-series launch.

Mid-range models receive performance upgrades
The Galaxy A37 and A57 will receive standard upgrades in both chipset and software. Both models will come directly with the Android 16 system. The higher-positioned A57 is expected to feature Samsung’s new Exynos 1680 processor paired with an Xclipse 550 GPU, while the A37 will include the Exynos 1480 with an Xclipse 530 GPU.These new chips will bring enhanced performance and efficiency to Samsung’s mid-range lineup.
